Hannah Colman has been appointed chief executive officer of the luxury shoe maker Jimmy Choo, reporting to John Idol, the chairman and CEO of the parent company, Capri Holdings. She has been holding the job on an interim basis since May.

Colman was one of the brand’s earliest employees when she joined in 1996 as store manager in the first boutique on Motcomb Street, London. From there she went on to serve in a number of roles. Prior to being CEO, Colman was president for Europe, Middle East and Africa as well as global e-commerce.

Sandra Choi, the founder and creative director of Jimmy Choo, said, “Hannah and I have worked together since the start of our fashion luxury house. I couldn’t be happier that she will now lead our company as we continue to grow Jimmy Choo as one of the most important British luxury brands in the world.”

Capri also owns the brands Versace and Michael Kors.
