Texon, the producer of materials for the footwear industry, has appointed Bryan Whitfield as group sales director, replacing Matt Smith, who left the company after almost a decade of “successful service.” Whitfield was previously involved in sales and business development with major international companies such as Avery Dennison, Velcro and Bemis.
The company said that Whitfield “will be tasked with building a long-term sales strategy that will help drive the company’s double digit growth trajectory.” He will be based in Dallas, Texas.
Jelle Tolsma, CEO at Texon, said that despite the Covid-19 pandemic “we had a strong, productive 2020 – increasing our share of work with existing customers and winning new contracts. As the world continues to tackle the challenges associated with the pandemic, we are pushing on with our growth plans and ramping up our sustainability and innovation efforts.”
Texon operates in more than 90 countries worldwide and employs more than 550 people.
