Fashion Access, Asia-Pacific's fashion fair for high-end head-to-toe fashions, had a modestly successful run on Sept. 25-27 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. In terms of visitors, there was a 4.77 percent decrease from Sept. 2012. There were 298 exhibitors, covering a total of 11,090 square meters of exhibition space. The country pavilions that showed a significant hike in the number of exhibitors were the Philippines, with 28 compared with 11 in Sept. 2012, Indonesia with 29 against last year's 13, and India with 29 compared with the previous 17. Increased participation in these three country pavilions mainly stemmed from the active involvement of their respective export promotions agencies. The international scope of the fair did see an increase, with 54 nations represented against 41 in 2012. In the past two years, Fashion Access has seen a marked rise in visitors from Southeast Asian markets like Indonesia and the Philippines, where the base of high-end fashion consumers has been increasing. The autumn/winter 2014-2015 edition of Fashion Access will run from March 31 to Apr. 2 next year at the same venue in Hong Kong.
