Grupo Hergar, the Spanish footwear manufacturer that owns the Callaghan and Gorila brands, saw its 2020 sales drop to slightly over €30 million due to the Covid-19 pandemic from €45 million in 2019. The Arnedo-based company told the local press that it has started to recoup lost sales but it will need time to return to pre-pandemic levels.

Grupo Hergar employs some 180 people at Arnedo, in the Rioja province, where it has a daily manufacturing capacity of 2,000 pairs.
