For spring/summer 2019, Kavat is launching a new collection of children's rubber boots, in four colors. One-third of the materials used to make the “Skur” collection are drawn from Brazilian sugar cane. In March 2018, Kavat received its second EU Ecolabel for continued commitment to high quality and sustainable production, despite tougher requirements. In 2008, the Swedish company was recognized with the European award for its first model using eco-performance leather, a substrate free of 200 banned chemicals. The European Commission has been conferring the Ecolabel since 1992 on products and services demonstrating a positive environmental impact that consumers can easily identify. Kavat's Eco Performance leather is made at the company's own production site in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
