Freemans Grattan Holdings is moving most of its buying operations from the U.K. to Germany. The company, which has the home shopping businesses Freemans and Grattan, will keep one office in the U.K., in Bradford, to focus on it s fast fashion offer for Oli, its online retailer business. It plans to combine assortments in the new German operations, and hopes to benefit from the expected increase in buying power it will get from its German parent company, Otto Group. The company’s U.K. workforce has already been cut by 1,000, to about 2,800, as a cost-cutting measure.
