Görtz has launched a new service to help parents to buy the right shoes for their children. The Hamburg-based shoe retailing firm sends one of its employees, Nicole Anton, to the home of the customer to show a selection of shoes and give advice, free of charge, after the parents book an appointment via a newsletter, filling in a questionnaire to provide information on their preferences for the brand and the size of the shoes. The products can be bought directly at home, without a commitment to purchase a minimum quantity. On site, the employee may also offer shoes for adult women and men. Through this service, which is offered for the moment only to a selected group of customers in Hamburg, Görtz wants to position itself in the market as an expert in children's shoes.
