Görtz indicates that its sales grew by 25 percent to more than €400 million last year and says that it wants to grow twice as fast as the German market this year. Sales rose by 10 percent on a same-store basis in 2010. The acquisition of the 37-door Pasito Fricker chain in Switzerland from Garant and the opening of 23 new stores in Germany, Austria and Poland contributed to the overall growth. Between 15 and 20 new store openings are planned for 2011.
