G-Lord, the German buying group, has increased its centrally invoiced turnover to €60 million in 2008, compared with €42 million last year. The number of affiliated points of sale soared from 355 to 515. They are operated by roughly 470 affiliated retailers. On a comparable basis, their retail sales increased by 2.5 percent in the first nine months of this year, while the Institut für Handelsforschung in Cologne (institute for trade research) calculated a minus of 2 percent in the entire German shoe retail market for the same period.
