Gabor Shoes has reported a 16.8 percent sales increase for the group to €179.5 million in the first half of 2011. A big slice of the growth came from the German market, whose share of the total turnover rose to 54 percent as compared to less than 50 percent a year ago. The Gabor brand raised its sales by 17.8 percent to €148.6 million with 3.9 million pairs sold during the period, up from 3.5 million pairs in the corresponding 2010 period. Sales increased also for Camel Active and Snipe, reaching €26.7 million and €4.1 million, respectively. Orders for autumn/winter 2001/2 have been more than satisfactory, and the management is confident that the momentum will continue.
