Geox has announced the formal launch of its new range of golf shoes, which has gone a little better than expected. Coordinated by Per Aagren, who was formerly in charge of Ecco’s golf shoe program, it has given the new breathable and waterproof range a presence in about 500 stores in 68 countries. Sales are handled by Geox’ own sales offices in the U.S., Germany, Austria and Switzerland, but using specialized golf agents. In the other countries, Geox uses independent distributors and agents. The U.K. is one important market where Geox doesn’t yet have a presence, but the company wants to do things right there, planning a launch in the next year (more in Sporting Goods Intelligence Europe).
