German shoe retailers saw their sales jump by 18 percent in value and by 15 percent in volume year-on-year during the month of March. The progress was largely due to the low level of sales reached in March 2015, when their sales fell by 13 percent. January had been positive this year, and February negative. As a result, the retailers' sales went up by 7 percent in value and 4 percent in volume in the first three months of this year.
