Global fashion sales are expected to continue to grow in 2018. According to the report The State of Fashion 2018, released by McKinsey & Company, fashion sales will increase by between 3.5 and 4.5 percent in 2018, and by 4-5 percent in the luxury segment, to reach around €2.1 billion. Sales will be driven by India, Vietnam and China - this area is expected to post an increase between 6.5 and 7.5 percent - as well as Eastern Europe (Russia, Romania and Turkey) with a projected growth between 5.5 and 6.5 percent, while Latin America, the Middle East and Africa are expected to post a 5-6 percent growth. The increase will be more moderate for mature markets such as North America, where sales are expected to grow by 1-2 percent, Western Europe and Japan, where sales are expected to grow by 2-3 percent.
