Hermès International attained the sales targets it had set itself for the first nine months of its financial year. Group turnover grew by 6.1 percent to €1.1 billion, while sales on a same-store basis grew by 11.2 percent. Sales projections for the full year have been improved accordingly. Sales grew in the third quarter by 12 percent to €394.7 million, pushed by leathergoods, with strong European sales overall. However the French luxury group warns that its profitability will not increase because of a weak dollar and yen. Adverse currency effects reduced sales by 1.5 percent for the first nine months.
