Hermès’ sales rose by 3.3 percent in euros and by 5 percent in local currencies during the 1st quarter, reaching €324.8 million. Handbags and luggage recorded the strongest sales increase, at 6.9 percent, followed by women’s wear and accessories, including footwear, with 5.42 percent. Geographically, the USA brought the largest growth, with an 11.7 percent increase, followed by Asia and Europe with 2.8 and 1.1 percent, respectively.
