Hunter, the Scottish manufacturer of galoshes partly owned by Pentland Brands, is downsizing operations at its Dumfries site in Scotland by cutting a first round of 16 jobs. The company came out of administration only 17 months ago and is still under consultation for a more viable long-term business strategy. It says it wants to maintain a production facility in Scotland, but local news reports claim it is shipping parts of the process out to China and Serbia.
