Ian Watson, who has run Start-Rite Shoes for the past three years, has become the new chief executive of Hotter, the biggest British producer of comfort shoes. He has taken the place of Sara Prowse, who is stepping down from the role after three years in which she is credited with having transformed the product, the brand, the culture and the infrastructure of the company. At Start-Rite, Watson's position has been taken over by Kate Tansley, who joined the British children's shoe company in April 2018 after working for some major blue-chip organizations. After joining Start-Rite in 2016, Watson similarly developed a strategic plan to transform its products, processes and people.
