Ifema has rescheduled its Spanish fashion exhibition in Madrid, Momad, for Sept. 12-14, making it coincide with the Intergift, Bisutex and MadridJoya trade shows. Ifema believes that merging the fairs will bring positive synergies and increase business opportunities for the exhibitors. Ifema decided to change the dates of Momad after taking a survey among exhibitors and visitors who attended the fair in February of this year, which also coincided with Intergift, Bisutex and MadridJoya. Ifema previously decided to disassociate Momad from Momad Shoes, which is now a dedicated shoe show taking place later, while giving a place at Momad to shoe companies that wanted to show their products earlier, targeting also the apparel sector. The footwear trade show has changed its name to Shoes Room by Momad, using a more modular format, which took place for the first time in March, attracting 2,700 professional visitors. The next show is scheduled for Sept. 20-22 and Ifema has appointed a new commercial director for the event, Clara Martín Fernández.
