Ilse Jacobsen, founder of Ilse Jacobsen Hornbæk, the Danish company that is famous for its rubber boots, has announced that it is strengthening the organization through the appointment of a new chief executive, Trine Frausing of Denmark. He was headhunted from Los Angeles, where he had a great career with Mattel Inc., the company behind Barbie and other brands. In addition, the company recently hired Klaus Vemmer as the manager responsible for the brand and marketing. A controversial figure, known for going out in Laurentin Cosmos high-heeled shoes, he founded a company that made high quality heels for men's shoes in Italy. The company reports high Ebitda in the first half of 2019, following major investments in IT, and positive sales results especially in Germany and the U.S.
