Indonesian footwear exports declined in value by 4 percent to $448.8 million for the three months ended March 31. After falling by nearly 3 percent in January, value exports of footwear dipped by 4.2 percent in February and March. In units, first-quarter shipments abroad were off by 2.8 percent year-over-year to 27.53 million pairs. Approximately 30 percent of Indonesia’s footwear exports are sent to the U.S., with the remainder going to Europe, South Korea and Japan.
