Ingrid Osmundsen, a 43-year-old fashion and retail executive educated in the USA, has been appointed as the new president and CEO of Wedins Skor, the loss-making Swedish shoe and leathergoods retailing group. She takes over the functions of Rolf Nilsson, who came from the hotel business. He will remain as executive chairman and a major shareholder, concentrating on strategy and equity matters. The former chairman, Jan Ohlsson, continues as a member of the board. Osmundsen has spent 16 years in the fashion and retail businesses, serving lately as Swedish country manager of Lindex. She previously worked at May Company in the USA and at Nike Europe in Holland.
