IX Shoes, a new Spanish shoe company that exhibited at many different fairs in the past few months, sold nearly 100,000 pairs of shoes for its first season. The result is described as a success for Carlos Suarez, former European sales manager of Unisa, who is running the company. IX Shoes is doubling its production as it seeks to significantly expand on these results in its second year of operation. IX Shoes is experiencing the best business in France and Italy, and its momentum is starting to increase in Holland and Belgium. It plans to open two stores in France and Italy next year. The company currently has agents in Ireland, Spain, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East.
