Jacobson Group has recently added Ravel to its footwear portfolio, which already includes high-profile names such as Gola, Lotus and Frank Wright. Clarks had put up the Ravel brand name for sale after closing or converting the flagging chain of shoe stores that it had been operating under this name in the UK. Jacobson reportedly paid £2 million (€2.8m-$4.2m) for the Ravel name, which it plans to use only at the wholesale level, repositioning it upwards from its middle-market standing. A trend-led ladies footwear collection will be launched for the Fall of next year.
