Jean-François Palus, the young manager who has been running the finance division of PPR Group since 2005, masterminding the acquisition of Puma and Volcom, has seen his responsibilities enlarged with the promotion to a new position as group managing director in charge of new strategic, operational and organizational orientations. He will devote more of his time to the development of processes intended to expand, support and coordinate the various brands of the group, which is focusing on luxury goods around Gucci and on lifestyle brands around Puma. In view of this, Jean-Marc Duplaix, 41, will join PPR on Jan. 30 to act as its new chief financial officer, reporting to Palus. He was previously with Arthur Andersen and, most recently, with a French TV operator, the M6 Group.
