Jean-Louis Goni, a financial and management consultant who has worked in other sectors, has been appointed as the new CEO of Robert Clergerie, taking the place of Gérald Mazzalovo who left at the beginning of this year. This follows the takeover of the French company by Robert Clergerie himself, who is concentrating on creating a more structured collection under his own name, based on the brand’s heritage, in time for the Spring/Summer 2006 season. No other major changes are planned for the moment. Clergerie sold a majority stake in his own company to SG European Private Equity Partners in 1999. Various managers and creative directors have been employed since then. SG has been trying lately to resell its stake to other companies before the French entrepreneur decided to buy it back.
