Jean-Pierre Renaudin, the French entrepreneur who recently sold Mod’8 to Groupe Royer, has been elected president of the French shoe industry association. He replaces Patrick Moniotte, who likewise sold his own company, Hasley, to Samson. Renaudin, who has been running a rather dynamic local association of shoe manufacturers from the region of Bordeaux, will take up his new functions in October. Moniotte may continue to be involved with the federation, however, also at the international level.
