Just as Yoox.com goes public, Spartoo.com, one of the leading French e-commerce operations for footwear, has started to offer its product range in Italy, launching a website in the Italian language. The move is justified by a study showing that the number of e-shoppers in Italy was expected to grow from 25 million in 2006 to 35 million by 2011. Besides the French market, www.spartoo.com already covers Belgium and Luxembourg.
