Kallisté will produce a new young footwear brand called 2die4 belonging to Antonio Berardi. The licensing agreement will run for an initial four seasons starting with Fall/Winter 2004-05, with Berardi responsible for designing the collections. The brand already exists as a line of women’s ready-to-wear clothing.The Italian company is targeting sales of around 6,000 pairs for the first season, at an ex-factory price of around €150 a pair. The line will be distributed in multi-brand specialty outlets worldwide by Milan-based Studio Bonini, the licensed distributor for various top-end footwear brands including Kallisté, Key-tè, Etro, Lario, Dove Nuotano Gli Squali, Neil Barrett and Puma by Neil Barrett. Bonini already distributes Antonio Berardi’s first line of footwear, produced by Zobboli in the Italian city of Bologna.Meanwhile, Kallisté is due to inaugurate two new franchise concept stores in the Italian towns of Spalato and Fiume, adding to the 12 existing stores located in the main European capitals. Un Dimanche à Venise is the stores’ trading banner.
