Kennel & Schmenger, the German shoe manufacturer, recorded a sales increase of 20 percent in the first quarter of this year. Last year, the company reached total sales of €45 million. K&S, which is repositioning itself into a higher price range, will be launching a new image campaign this month, using print and online advertising. It will also launch the company's new website at the start of the next week. As part of its new trading-up efforts, the German company has disassociated itself from about 400 clients, focusing on new distribution channels that will better match its new upmarket shoe collection, presented at the Premium show in Berlin last week.
