Kennel & Schmenger wants to enter the North American and Chinese markets. For this purpose, the German company will be exhibiting at the Fashion Coterie trade show in New York at the end of February and at the CHIC – China International Clothing & Accessories – trade show in Beijing in March in order to find the right distribution channel in these markets. K&S recorded a two-digit increase in the number of pairs of shoes sold in 2011, compared with the previous year, going up to about 750,000 pairs. Growth was recorded outside Germany, especially in Scandinavia, Belgium, the Netherlands and England. Exports now account for 45 percent of the German company's total sales. At this year's winter edition of the Premium trade show in Berlin, the German brand launched its first-ever collection of men's shoes. The sportive line will be sold in stores from fall/winter 2012. The company regards the segment of quality sneakers as a niche it aims to cover. It's men's sneaker collection is priced at €200-300 and will be extended further in the future.
