Kering has announced that Cédric Charbit has joined the group's executive committee, effective July 1. Charbit, 41, has led Balenciaga, part of the group, since November 2016. He began his career at Printemps in 2001 as luxury goods buyer, later becoming deputy purchasing director of the department store. In 2009, he moved to the group's fashion business, first at Pucci as deputy general manager then at Saint Laurent, where he eventually became vice-president in charge of products and communications, and finally at Balenciaga. Charbit will sit on Kering's executive committee alongside François-Henri Pinault, Jean-François Palus, Jean-Marc Duplaix, Marco Bizzarri, Francesca Bellettini, Albert Bensoussan, Roberto Vedovotto, Gregory Boutté, Marie-Claire Daveu, Valérie Duport, Claus-Dietrich Lahrs and Béatrice Lazat.
