Kickers will partner with Brulimar Optical Group in the U.K. to launch its first range of children's eyewear. The collection, aimed at children and teenagers, will be launched at Optrafair, a trade show in London next April, prior to going on sale throughout the U.K. The new range of colorful frames, which has been designed to mirror the style of Kickers' existing footwear, is both practical and durable, with innovative design details such as fully-flexible hinges and rubberized treatments on certain models. Kickers started in France in the 1970s and has been a popular brand in the U.K. since the 1980s. Kickers shoes have been spotted on the feet of famous British musicians including Noel Gallagher, Jarvis Cocker and Ian Brown. Brulimar acquired the license for Bench Eyewear, now one of the top-selling brands of glasses in the U.K., in 2006. Brulimar Optical Group claims to be the largest eyewear producer in the U.K. and has a large portfolio of brands for the adult, teen and children's optical markets. Its brands include Lee Cooper, Bench, Pineapple and Henleys, alongside its own branded collections Eclipse, Geek Chique and Nakamura.
