Klas Shoes is launching two new labels this autumn, marking its full entry into the comfort category. The new Rotasole line is named for the patented system that eases stress on ankles, knees and hips for which the American company holds global licensing rights. The athletic shoes will sell starting at $129 for women’s models and $149 for men’s, at independent and athletic specialty stores as well as in catalogs and from e-tailers. A line of casual Rotasoles will come out in 2010. The other label coming from the Massachusetts-based company is KlasFit, aimed at those with diabetes and arthritis. The lightweight shoes have a soft stretcheable upper and extra deep silhouettes. They will sell for $90 to $130. Both lines feature SensFoot insoles, for which Klas is the American licensee, and will be available in July. In addition, Klas has just launched its website, klasshoes.com.
