Leather imports from Italy to the Guandong province of China surpassed the level of $100 million during the period from January to July this year. During the same time span, trade between Italy and the province in all kinds of products was up by 13.1 percent to $2.64 billion when compared to the same period last year. It reached $4.02 billion in 2005, up sharply from $1.62 billion back in 2000.
