Lloyd raised its sales in the first quarter of this year by 6.7 percent to €34.7 million, as compared to the same period of the previous year. In terms of volume, sales grew by 4.1 percent to 510,000 pairs. Lloyd experienced higher sales in Germany, while the international markets developed unevenly. The daily production was increased from 7,000 to 7,400 pairs, with 2,100 pairs currently being made in Germany. Lloyd plans to invest €5 million for the optimization of processes and IT solutions. The number of employees working for the company has been from 1,279 to 1,391.
