Lloyd Shoes raised its sales by 7.9 percent to €133.4 million in 2012. In terms of volume, sales increased by 5.5 percent to 1.9 million sold pairs. The daily production rate rose from 6,500 to 7,100 pairs in 2012, with 2,000 pairs made in Germany. The spring/summer 2013 season showed an 8.8 percent sales increase on the German market and a 6.1 percent drop in Austria. Thanks to the establishment of a new warehouse in Switzerland, the company's sales in that market grew by 42.3 percent. Total sales outside Germany increased by 9.9 percent, and Russia and Scandinavia proved to be very dynamic markets. The company's staff expanded in 2012 from 1,224 to 1,273 employees, 607 of whom are working in Germany. Lloyd owns and manages 40 stores, 31 of which operate in Germany. For 2013, Lloyd expects a further sales increase of about 5 percent.
