Louis Vuitton was the highest ranked luxury brand in Interbrand's annual Best Global Brands report, which was released by the international consulting firm on Oct. 5. Louis Vuitton ranked at no. 19 in the latest edition of the report, where Apple was no. 1 and Google no. 2, for the third year in a row. However the French luxury conglomerate saw its brand value decline by 9 percent. Among the other luxury brands, Hermès ranked at no. 41 and was included among the “Top Risers” of the year, with a brand value increase of 22 percent over the last 12 months. Interbrand identifies the 100 most valuable global brands by analyzing a combination of attributes that contribute to a brand's cumulative value. Interbrand's Best Global Brands methodology was the first brand valuation method to become ISO certified.
