LVMH is set to acquire one of its major suppliers of leather, Tanneries Roux of France, which has been working for group brands such as Louis Vuitton, Loewe and Céline. Founded in 1803, it is based in the French shoe city of Romans, specializing in calf leather. Last year it bought Heng Long, which specializes in crocodile leather. Jean-Claude Ricomard will continue as chairman of the tanner.
