Max Kibardin has been selected to be the new creative director of Bruno Magli, starting with the fall/winter 2012-13 collection, which will be presented in the company's new showroom in Milan. The young designer, who was born in Siberia, has his own line of shoes and accessories, and he has worked for other Italian and foreign brands. Kibardin, who takes the place of Ernesto Esposito at the Italian company, will also be responsible for its image. Meanwhile, Bruno Magli has negotiated a deal with Italian authorities to subsidize the wages of most of its 130 employees until the end of 2013 in connection with the shutdown of its production facilities in Bologna and the transfer of its head office to Milan.
