Melvo, the former subsidiary of Salamander for shoe care products, has gone through a new management buyout. Two company managers, Michael Niks and Reiner Hilbrand, were supported in the transaction by DZ Equity Partner. Salamander sold Melvo in 2003 to another financial investor, Hannover Finanz. The company sells shoe care products under the names Salamander, Woly and Coxy. It made a turnover of €36 million in 2007.
