Michael Decker has been appointed chief executive of ANWR Media, replacing Alexander Hock and Gregor Bernhart, who will leave the company on Dec. 31. ANWR Media was created in 2014 to develop digital tools for the retail members of the entire ANWR Group, as well as for their trading partners. ANWR Media also includes a Marketing Technology Team and a Trading Cockpit team – the former building automated and intelligent marketing systems, the latter providing analytical tools for more than 500 affiliated dealers. ANWR Media is responsible for ANWR's online platform, schuhe.de; an e-commerce control tool, Qualibet; and a data platform, HandelsCockpit. Michael Decker was previously chief executive of ANWR Schuh. Heike Discher and Fritz Terbuyken, chief executives of ANWR Schuh and members of the executive board of the ANWR Group, will also continue as directors of ANWR Schuh. Meanwhile, HOck and Bernhart have set up a new service company with which ANWR has signed a long-term agreement for the management of schuhe.de and its further development. Matthias Grevener, who is already responsible for the Sport Europa segment of ANWR, is taking over responsibility for ANWR Media and IT in general across the group.
