Molly Adams has been appointed as the new president of the Famous Footwear chain by Caleres, the U.S. company led by Diane Sullivan. Adams, who has served as executive vice president of global merchandising and product development at The Walt Disney Company since 2008, will assume her new role on May 29, replacing the retiring Rick Ausick. Sullivan said that Adams is expected to lead a new phase of growth at Famous Footwear, “driven so much by consumer insight, analytics and great merchandise.” She also said that Adams is expected to empower people because she is nice, fun and a “great communicator.”
