Momad Metropolis, the new fair held in Madrid last Sept. 6-8, welcomed a total of 17,423 buyers, 11 percent of whom came from abroad. Organized by Ifema, it put together for the first time the former Modacalzado + Iberpiel with Simm, an international fashion fair, accommodating a total of 1,300 brands. Shoes and accessories were presented in an area of 6,720 square meters. We did not visit this show, but we heard that there were fewer export-oriented shoe companies than at theMicam, where Spanish producers continued to represent the second-largest national contingent after Italians with some 200 firms.
