Moreschi is investing in design. The first collection by Marco Censi and Guillaume Hinfray - two former Ferragamo designers who recently took over design of the brand’s men’s and women’s collections – are being showcased for the coming Spring-Summer season at MICAM. Differentiating style from production is expected to give a new boost to the company’s image, while remaining within the realms of the style the brand is recognized for. Moreschi was founded in 1946 as a small family business, and now turns over about €38 million a year, with an export ratio of 75 percent. The firm produces 300,000 pairs of footwear and 50,000 items of leathergoods per year, employing 450 people in the Vigevano area. Moreschi has just opened its 40th store in Johannesburg, Africa.
