Mephisto has appointed a new manager, Martin Hübner, to expand the presence outside France of all its brands, including Allrounder, Mobils and Sano, starting with the markets of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He will be responsible for the development of the company at wholesale and retail, and he will also be involved in some marketing activities.

The German-speaking countries were previously handled by Randolf Friedl, who has left the French company. Hübner, who is 52 years old, worked in leading sales and management positions for more than 20 years at Marc Shoes. He left late last year, a few months after the German company changed ownership.

Meanwhile, the new owners of Marc have completed the reorganization of its sales activities by appointing Christian Feldbausch as director of sales and marketing, responsible for the company's domestic and foreign business. He will be a member of the company's executive board.

The 47-year-old joined the company last November as manager of international sales development, following the breakup of a collaboration with Josef Seibel on the international front. Prior to Marc, he had more than 20 years of experience in sales as export manager at Wortmann and as a manager with several menswear companies.

On the other hand, Seibel has hired another former manager of Marc, Holger Voigtmann, to act as product manager and sales manager for its new licensed Gerry Weber line of footwear, starting on Feb. 1. Voigtmann has been running Marc's product development department.

All three companies – Marc, Mephisto and Seibel – will show at the Expo Riva Schuh fair starting at Riva del Garda at the end of this week. Marc will celebrate its 75th anniversary there.
