New rumors are circulating about a likely stock market introduction of Sixty Group, the Italian company that owns brands such as Energie, Killah and Miss Sixty. The group reached sales of €650 million last year, up from €600 in 2004. Theo Spierings, who formerly worked for Diesel in the Netherlands, has become as the new managing director of Sixty UK. Separately, Sixty Group is planning to open 4-star hotels specifically targeted for youngsters between the years of 18 and 28. The first one will open in Riccione on the Adriatic Sea in April. The second one should be on Rome’s Via del Corso, where the group’s brands are very present. Camper, Armani, Bulgari, Missoni and Salvatore Ferragamo have all invested in the hotel business already. Camper recently won a special award in Barcelona for the best commercial initiative in 2004 because of the combination of a 25-room hotel, a biological food shop and a shoe store under its own name in the Raval district of the city.
