Office has received an official warning by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the U.K. after personal data of more than one million of its customers were left exposed due to a hacking incident. According to the ICO, the hacker bypassed the technical measures the multichannel shoe retailer had put in place to protect its customers' database and the incident went undetected. No evidence has emerged, however, that the information was used further, and the company did not store any bank details. The servers in question have now been decommissioned and Office has put in place a new hosting infrastructure.
