On the occasion of its 120th anniversary, Bata France has asked a Parisian designer, Florian Wernert, to create a capsule collection for autumn/winter 2013-14 highlighting the masculine world of both the brand and the designer. Wernert and Bata France's team first met at the 2006 young designers contest that the brand organizes each year, in which Wernert got the third place. That encounter generated a collaboration between the designer and the company that has been going on for the past six years. The Florian Wernert Bata collection consists of three different models named after three parks in Paris: Tuileries, Luxembourg and Buttes Chaumont. Each model in the collection expresses a vision of French elegance, both casual and chic, inspired by the surrealism and offbeat elegance of Jacques Tati's movies, the graphics of the 1950s and the atmosphere of Parisian cafés. The three models in the collection are each available in two colors, with prices ranging between €99.99 and €109. This collection is now available in selected Bata stores in France and from the e-shop platform on www.bata.fr.
