Original S.W.A.T, the American maker of tactical footwear, has purchased the majority of the assets of Tactical Holdings and Operations, the parent of Wellco and Altama. Terms were not disclosed. In July, Tactical Holdings filed a Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Petition in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware and was seeking a quick sale of its businesses. Tactical's footwear businesses include Wellco Enterprises, Altama Delta, and Mo-Ka Shoe. It also owns Massif Mountain Gear, which specializes in fire and flame-resistant apparel. As a first priority following the acquisition, Original S.W.A.T said it is consolidating manufacturing at its facility in Morristown, Tennessee, and ramping up U.S. production.
