OutDry Technologies has won an award for its personal protective equipment from Satra, the international testing and technology center. OutDry was honored as “best contribution to PPE production efficiency” because of its one-step direct lamination process, which it uses to deal its outdoor and hiking boots as well as gloves. Satra hands out its award to companies that lead in technical innovation. Specifically, it looked at OutDry's Empire OutDry, a protective boot for extreme weather conditions manufactured by Sixton Italy. Other awards for personal protection were won by New Balance for a protective umpire shoe and by the Magnum brand of Hi-Tec Sports, which won the prize for “best innovation in safety footwear” with its Sidewinder HPI Multicam boot. The Jalintrepid boot of Jallatte, was “highly recommended” in the same category. Separately, the Jal Group, which owns Jallatte and Aimont, got a special award at the Sawo international exhibition in Poznan, Poland, last month.
